  • Political Fingerprint: We store your "Support," "Oppose," and "Unsure" reactions to specific bills to calculate your alignment scores.
  • Geolocation: We process your address to identify your state and congressional districts. We store only the resulting district identifiers (e.g., "CA-11"); your raw street address is never persisted to our database.
  • Identity: We use Clerk for authentication. This includes your email address and profile information provided by your chosen sign-in method.

2. How We Use Data

Your data is used solely to provide the services offered by Politique:

  • Matching you with political candidates and representatives.
  • Sending you requested vote alerts (via Resend).
  • Processing payments and managing subscriptions (via Stripe).
  • Improving our service using anonymized usage analytics (via PostHog).

3. Third-Party Sub-processors

We utilize industry-standard services to power Politique:

  • Clerk: User authentication and profile management.
  • Stripe: Payment processing and billing.
  • PostHog: Privacy-first product analytics and session recording.
  • Resend: Transactional and notification emails.
  • Anthropic: AI-driven narrative generation (anonymized data only).

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time. Deletion of your account via the account settings page will purge your Political Fingerprint and all associated reactions from our database.
